Our Dental Nurse Visit

On the 8th October our school dental nurse Nozainaidah came to our school to give a talk on how to care for our teeth.

Nozainaidah visits our school regulary through the year to check our teeth.

We all went into the library.

She showed us a power point about tooth decay and the terrible things that can happen if you don't brush your teeth twice a day. Some of the pictures were really awful!

She asked us what we already knew about keeping our teeth clean and gave out prizes for the correct answers.

She showed us the proper way to brush our teeth....

the proper sized tooth-brush to use as well as examples of a good fluoride toothpaste.

Haiqal was so shocked by some of the pictures that one of his bottom teeth fell out. Timing is everything!
Don't worry Haiqal-another one will grow in its place.

Zakwan and Irfan show off their beautiful white baby teeth. Excellent oral hygiene boys!

Then it was time to go outside and practice our teeth cleaning. Watch you feet!

Great technique!

Thank you Nozainaidah-keep up the good work!

His Majesty the Sultan's Birthday

At 6.30 am on 16th July, children and teachers from our school caught buses into Kuala Belait. We had been invited to celebrate His Majesty The Sultan's 66th birthday.
The bus driver dropped us off and we walked into the park to wait for His Majesty the Sultan to arrive.
Ready to celebrate!

First it was time for breakfast. Teacher Dennis showing what a great morning person he is.
Burgers and a chip.

There were a lot of different people there ready to entertain...

to protect....

to document...
and to celebrate.....Yay!
A beautiful day to be waiting on the side of the road.
Some found shade....
Shyfiq found the first aid tent....
and some like Zakirin found essentials like food and water.

His Majesty The Sultan drove past
and it was time for the celebrations to begin.
After some beautiful singing and spectacular dancing it was time for lunch.
Luckily someone was looking after the food for us as there were alot of hungry people around...

Then it was time for the drive home.

Happy Birthday!
